VISION STATEMENT

To spread the gospel through God’s love in the community of Ypsilanti, surrounding areas and the uttermost parts of the earth. That one may receive the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. To encourage souls that they were created for a designed/specific purpose and to discover their gifts in the Kingdom. To empower, equip and build souls to become Kingdom Builders. And to see every man / woman of God prosper, and be in good health as their soul prospers.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Salvation means being saved from sin, sickness and bondage of any kind. We believe that Salvation is essential to have a relationship with God while on earth, and to have eternal life with God in heaven after death.
We believe before one can receive Jesus as their Lord, and savior they must first repent of their sinful behavior, state, and beliefs. We believe this is why John the Baptist was the fore-runner of Jesus Christ, because he was sent to teach us the only way that we can receive Jesus was to first repent.

Repentance is defined: "To change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, thoughts, behavior, and then turn to JESUS the Christ." Therefore, reformation or salvation cannot come if there's no true repentance.
This is why we believe in the Water Baptism. To symbolize the character of a good repented conscience, As Peter explains in 1st Peter 1:3 (NLT) "and that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Then how does one become saved? According to Romans 10:8-11. We will read "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart" (that is the word of God exercised by your faith); so if you confess with your mouth ( after repentance) and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For with the mouth a faith confession is made to salvation... so if you believe in your heart and make a confession ( by faith) with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you are then saved. So now I'm sure you know that "Salvation is a free gift that you cannot earn, although Jesus the Christ has paid the ultimate price for you and I (that no other man had the ability to do). So the question is: "Have you yet received this wonderful gift of salvation?"
Last but not least, we believe that a born again believer, or one who has received Jesus the Christ as their personal Lord and Savior should have spiritual evidence/ fruit. The fruit/ evidence that would manifest from our lives is: LOVE, JOY, PEACE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, AND SELF CONTROL.

We believe and operate in Signs and Wonders, Miracles, Healing and Deliverance.

Greetings,

The Holy Spirit has assigned me to be the Shepherd of the Ypsilanti Community Church. I strongly believe God would not appoint and anoint a man of God to any office of leadership over his people without giving that servant a vision to lead His people to a higher level in God. In Proverbs 29:18, Solomon declared; WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH…”

My dear sons and daughters, brothers and sisters of the Gospel, what a Vision is: it’s a clear picture and understanding of God’s revelatory word that will give us the Spiritual Discernment, Prophetic Word, Word of Knowledge and a Word of Wisdom that will stir up our faith in this present hour. God has given me a Vision as the Shepherd of Ypsilanti Community Church, for this church to be a catalyst in this community.

The Vision that God has shared with me is that GOD wants this church to move and maneuver in the Apostolic Breakthrough Anointing that will release us from the past, and thrust us into the future. Any church that carries a true Apostolic Anointing, will never be outmoded, outdated, or in a religious box; and this anointing helps launch us into a “NEW MOVEMENT” in God. We are experiencing a great outpouring of the Holy Sprit, I believe the greatest the World has yet to see. God is also restoring the gifts back into HIS church to allow HIS house to function on a level of Kingdom Builders & Citizens, instead of Church Spectators.

In Ephesians 4:11, Paul declares; “HE GAVE SOME APOSTLES; AND SOME PROPHETS; AND SOME EVANGELISTS; AND SOME , PASTORS, AND TEACHERS.” Paul states that he gave these offices for equipping and building up God’s people for the work of the ministry, and for the spiritual growth of the body of Christ as God has intended it to be. This church will be a church to help equip, build and develop new disciples into Kingdom Builders.
